Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Lower Hudson Valley Catholic Colleges and Universities Consortium Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program (LHVCCUC LSAMP Program) aims to address challenges in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce pipeline. Participants are eligible for faculty-led research experiences, peer mentoring, individual and group tutoring, workshops and seminars, book stipends, and internships, among other initiatives.

Goals

The LHVCCUC LSAMP Program outlines four main goals: 

1) Increase the enrollment of STEM majors;
2) Improve first-to-second year retention;
3) Cultivate strong STEM/scientist identities through STEM enrichment activities; and
4) Support successful entry into graduate study and STEM careers.

Eligibility

●      U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
●      Good academic standing.
●      Pursuing a baccalaureate degree at 鶹ɫƬ in science, technology, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
●      A desire to enroll in graduate school and/or pursue a career in a STEM field.
