Assistant Professor of Sports Management
Dr. Brooke Yerger is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Â鶹ɫÇ鯬, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and contributes to curriculum development within the School of Business. Dr. Yerger is also the advisor to those enrolled in the Sport Management major and concentration.
She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Liberty University, where her dissertation examined the predictors of workaholism and their influence on the work-life balance of NCAA Division I coaches. Her academic background also includes an M.A. in Applied Psychology from Liberty University and a B.A. in Psychology from Albright College.
Dr. Yerger’s professional experience spans higher education, athletics, and student development. She has served in roles such as Director of Recruiting, Senior Academic Advisor for Student-Athletes, and a Program Coordinator for Student Success. Her areas of specialization and research interest include work-life balance, leadership and organizational psychology, and athlete development. A former collegiate student-athlete and leader, Dr. Yerger remains dedicated to advancing student success, athlete well-being, and the future of sport management through teaching, mentorship, and applied research.
Outside of the classroom, Dr. Yerger loves to travel, having traveled to 4 countries and 24 states. Her goal is to grow this list to expand to all states and continents. She is an avid supporter of Beyond Sports: a program that gives athletes a chance to play, learn, or work abroad.
