Bio

Jennifer Bready became a faculty member in Mathematics at MSMC in 1999, earning her PhD in Mathematics Education from New York University in 2000, and is currently serving as the Dean for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education. As a professor of mathematics, she has taught the spectrum of mathematics courses, including Elementary and Applied Statistics, Math for Elementary School Teachers, Calculus I-III, Introduction to Cryptology, and Number Theory. She has been an active participant of the AP Statistics exam reading for over 15 years. She has presented at the local and national level, including NCTM, Mathfest, AMATYC, USCOTS, UP-STAT, ASA, ISETL, and even the American Academy of Forensic Science.

Aside from work she also enjoys participating in local community theater, preferably musicals. In her "young and foolish days," Dr. Bready was an exercise rider of thoroughbred race horses, and has ridden at the Meadowlands, Monmouth, and race tracks in Virginia and Florida. When not at the Mount, she can be found either hiking with her dogs or at the barn riding her horse!
